IAPS GYMNASTICS

Former IAPS competitors have gone onto National and International success including Lottie Smith, a former pupil at Stamford Junior School. Lottie was selected to represent England after competing at the Junior Gymnastic Championships in 2014. IAPS's Gymnastics competition, which has been organised since 1997, attracts a high standard of gymnasts who dedicate many hours every week to their routine and practice.

Tournament information

Team size
  • There is both a boys and girls tournament.
  • A team will consist of a maximum of 5 gymnasts from the same school.

  • Scoring
  • The top four scores on each discipline will count.
  • The scores will be added together to produce an individual and team score.

  • 4 piece competition format for girls
    Each gymnast will perform the following:
  • Set Vault
  • Voluntary Vault
  • Individual Set Floor
  • Individual Voluntary Floor (to music)
  • Optional group sequence - performed by 4 of the 5 team members

  • 2 piece competition format for boys & girls
    Each gymnast will perform the following:
  • Set Vault
  • Voluntary Vault

  • Merchandise

  • The official merchandisers for IAPS, who sell branded products both online, and at events, throughout the year. All of the commission made from the merchandise is put directly back into the sports programme, to keep improving the events every year.

  • Team hoodies
  • Shirt Logos do team hoodies for schools. Place your order online and have your hoodies sent directly to your school or collect at the event.
  • Entry requirements

    Age groups
  • There is an U9, U10, U11 & U13 boys and girls competition.

    Eligibility
  • All competitors must attend an IAPS School.
  • Children may only play in one age group throughout the competition.
  • Schools should enter as a team where possible.
  • Individual entries will be accepted, however their points will not count towards the team competition.
  • Bookings are made on a first come, first served basis.

  • Date of birth
  • U9 - pupils must be U9 on 1 September 2018.
  • U10 - pupils must be U10 on 1 September 2018.
  • U11 - pupils must be U11 on 1 September 2018.
  • U13 - pupils must be U13 on 1 September 2018.
