IAPS CRICKET (BOYS)

Online entry for Cricket opens on Monday 6 January 2020 and closes on Friday 1 May 2020.

U13 Tournament Information

Playing conditions
  • The tournament will be played in accordance with the ECB's recommended formats for U13 boys. Click here to access the format.
  • This tournament is a knockout competition, culminating in a finals day in June.
  • Details of the draw are sent to schools after the closing date.

  • Cricket equipment
  • The school drawn at home will supply two identical match balls.
  • Ball weight 4¾ oz and one ball is to be used per innings.
  • Balls will be provided for the semi-finals and final.

  • Umpires
  • Each competing school shall provide a suitable umpire. The umpire must not be a parent. It must be a member of school staff.
  • There will be neutral umpires supplied for the semi-final and final.

  • Entry requirements
  • All competitors must attend an IAPS School.
  • Only a member of school staff, with a school email address, can book onto IAPS sports events online.
  • Bookings are made on a first come, first served basis.
  • The competitors age will be take from the 1 September 2019.
  • If any school anticipates playing girls in their team, please let your opponent know beforehand.

  • As the official merchandisers for IAPS, they sell branded products both online and at events throughout the year. All of the commission made from the merchandise is reinvested into the sports programme, to keep improving the events every year.

  • U11 Tournament Information

  • One eight over (six ball) innings per team.
  • Each pair bats for two overs.
  • All members of the fielding side to bowl one over each.
  • Squads of a maximum of ten players

  • Cricket equipment
  • Batting and wicket keeping gloves and pads can be worn.
  • Wooden bats are permitted.
  • Ball weight 4¾ oz.

  • All competitors must attend an IAPS School.
  • Only a member of school staff, with a school email address, can book onto IAPS sports events online.

  • Competitor details
  • Once you have booked for this event, you must complete your competitors details online before the entry deadline.
  • The link to submit your competitors details can be found in the confirmation email sent to you immediately after booking online.
  • If you do not receive the confirmation email, you can log into your account via our website and re-send yourself the email.

  • SOCS
  • IAPS is now using SOCS to display live results for the majority of events.
  • Individual competition sites will be shared by the host school before the event.

  • Safeguarding
  • IAPS believe that the welfare and wellbeing of all children and adults at risk attending an IAPS event is of the highest concern.
  • The IAPS Safeguarding Policy and Procedures sets out our approach to safeguarding and child protection.

  • Risk assessment
  • A full risk assessment is carried out between IAPS and host venues.
  • A copy can be provided on request. Please contact sport@iaps.uk .

  • Photography
  • There will be no professional photography at any IAPS events.
  • Parents and spectators can take their own pictures. There is no law against taking photos at public events for personal use, including pictures of other people's children.
