Tournament information

Age groups
  • U11 and U13 doubles competition for girls and boys.

  • Doubles
  • Double pairs can be boys, girls or mixed.

    Structure
  • Round robin group stages followed by a knockout competition.

  • SOCS
  • IAPS is now using SOCS to display live results for the majority of events.
  • Individual competition sites will be shared by the host school before the event.

  • Merchandise

    Shirt Logos Ltd
  • As the official merchandisers for IAPS, they sell branded products both online and at events throughout the year. All of the commission made from the merchandise is reinvested into the sports programme, to keep improving the events every year.
  • Merchandise can be pre-ordered by completing the order form here.

    Team hoodies
  • Shirt Logos can produce team hoodies for schools. Place your order online and have your personalised hoodies sent directly to your school or collect them at the event.


  • Entry requirements

    Eligibility
  • All competitors must attend an IAPS School.
  • Only one pair per age group per school school may enter.
  • The previous year’s winners will automatically get a place to defend their title (if they wish and are still eligible).
  • Competitors may only play in one age group throughout the competition.
  • Only a member of school staff, with a school email address, can book onto IAPS sports events online.
  • Bookings are made on a first come, first served basis.

  • Date of birth
  • U11 competition - competitors must be U11 on 1 September 2019.
  • U13 competition - competitors must be U13 on 1 September 2019.

  • National governing body

    The national governing body for badminton in England is Badminton England.

  • Important Information

    Rules and regulations
  • All IAPS badminton tournaments are conducted under the Badminton World Federation rules and regulations.
  • Please read the rules and regulations in full before entering the event.

  • Competitor details
  • Once you have booked for this event, you must complete your competitors details online before the entry deadline.
  • The link to submit your competitors details can be found in the confirmation email sent to you immediately after booking online.
  • If you do not receive the confirmation email, you can log into your account via our website and re-send yourself the email.

  • Safeguarding
  • IAPS believe that the welfare and wellbeing of all children and adults at risk attending an IAPS event is of the highest concern.
  • The IAPS Safeguarding Policy and Procedures sets out our approach to safeguarding and child protection.

  • Risk assessment
  • A full risk assessment is carried out between IAPS and host venues.
  • A copy can be provided on request. Please contact sport@iaps.uk.

  • Photography
  • There will be no professional photography at any IAPS events.
  • Parents and spectators can take their own pictures. There is no law against taking photos at public events for personal use, including pictures of other people's children.
