Tournament information

Age groups
  • U11 and U13 doubles competition for girls and boys.

  • Doubles
  • Double pairs can be boys, girls or mixed.

    Structure
  • Round robing group stages followed by a knockout competition.

  • The official merchandisers for IAPS, who sell branded products both online, and at events, throughout the year. All of the commission made from the merchandise is put directly back into the sports programme, to keep improving the events every year.

  • Entry requirements

    Eligibility
  • All competitors must attend an IAPS School.
  • One pair from each school may apply for each age group.
  • The previous year’s winners will automatically get a place to defend their title (if they wish and are still eligible).
  • Children may only play in one age group throughout the competition.
  • Only a member of school staff, with a school email address, can enter IAPS sports events.
  • Bookings are made on a first come, first served basis.

  • Date of birth
  • U11 competition - pupils must be U11 on 1 September 2018.
  • U13 competition - pupils must be U13 on 1 September 2018.

  • National governing body

    The national governing body for badminton in England is Badminton England.

    Rules and regulations

    Badminton rules and regulations
  • All IAPS badminton tournaments are conducted under the Badminton World Federation rules and regulations, including their ruling on gender splits within tournaments.
  • Please read the rules and regulations in full before entering the event.

  • Competitor details
  • Schools must complete their competitors details before the entry deadline for the event.
  • The link to submit your competitors details is sent to you in the confirmation email, sent to you immediately after booking online.
  • If you do not receive the confirmation email for any reason, you can log into your account via iaps.uk and re-send yourself the email.

    We will always email and tweet any urgent information to schools regarding our events e.g. cancellations due to weather.
